Preamble:
Awhile back, a conversation with a local college radio station DJ about ambient music, the blog & mixing led to his suggestion that, rather than pull up anchor, we instead launch a yearly or semi-yearly podcast series (meaning one or two per year, but not necessarily 6 months apart). I mulled it over & came to the conclusion that it might work for a number of personal reasons.

Thus, this is a prototype & the first of what may become an annual project; dividing the baby (so to speak). The series was constructed this past Spring & Summer; and we then decided to post the editions out of sequence (10, 6, 4, 9, 5, etc.) to keep it interesting. The cover art will remain the same, save for enumeration.

This edition:
Traces of [King] Crimson & a “shout out” to the heir apparent of the Fripp guitar sound: Markus Reuter (Fripp, Reuter & King Crimson each make 3 appearances, herein). This also serves as a nod to the Reuter, Motzer & Grohowski album ‘Bleed‘ (see upcoming podcast nine for an additional track), with some of my favorite guitarists; Dirk Serries, Andy Summers, & David Torn, blended into the mix.

Pairs well with 2023’s The Mars Transmission & 2015’s Fripp_2015.
