DJ P – Mandala’s Echoed Transcendence: An Ambient Set of Loops, Delays and Living Room Textures – Frequency State

DJ P’s Mandala’s Echoed Transcendence: From Living Room to 4th Dimension is an immersive audiovisual performance combining ambient sound design, minimal grooves, and kaleidoscopic video effects. Filmed in a sunlit living room and edited using DaVinci Resolve, the hour-long set transforms a casual domestic space into a meditative, abstract experience.
At the centre of the performance is an MXR analog delay pedal, used to sculpt reverberant textures, looping fragments, and feedback trails. Across the set, DJ P builds from stretched floral melodies and dry techno snares to low drones and textured percussion. Room sounds—floor creaks, rustling curtains, and distant summer ambience—are woven into the mix, grounding the atmosphere with a sense of place.
Visually, the performance is treated with layered blurs, mirror effects, and shifting kaleidoscopic patterns, tightly synced with the delay feedback and musical changes. The effect is a fluid visual accompaniment that accentuates the musical flow—rain-like textures, underground pulses, and warm ambient drift.
The set shifts gradually through distinct moods—rain, night, underground, and breeze—each defined by subtle transitions in both audio and visual treatment. With long continuous shots and close-ups of the equipment, the performance balances tactile interaction and ambient meditation.
This is a headphone-friendly piece that rewards patient listening, particularly for fans of ambient, downtempo, and modular-inspired performance.
